Michael Killar grew up in Pennsylvania. He received a B.A. in Theology from King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, PA and an MDiv. from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in South Hamilton, Mass. He has ministered in both Korea and the US, before moving to Thailand with his wife, Kay.
Kay Killar was born and educated in Thailand. She received a B.A. in English from Naresuan University, Phitsanulok and an MDiv. from Bangkok Institute of Theology. In addition to Thailand she has ministered in Hawaii, and Harrisburg, PA.
Mike and Kay now live in Thailand with their daughter, Mikayla, where they work with The Well. The Well is a Christian ministry in Thailand under Servantworks and other partner organizations. Its purpose is to love Thai bar girls and sex workers in the same way that Jesus loved the woman in John 4 and others like her; to help her see and experience her true value as a creation by God, and to help her, her family and village indeed find their dream of a better life. The Well provides housing, counseling, training, job development and other services to women and their family members.
Currently, Mike’s primary tasks include language study and assisting Kay. Kay oversees business development and training. As a team they befriend men and women working in the sex industry, showing them that there is a way out.
